you're reading this and you like it, send me an
email with your comments. if you don't like it... well? what's not
to like? If you have a (preferably true) LASER story and would like to
have it posted here, compose it in Microsoft Word or any plain text
editor and
email it to me It can be fact or fiction (just
tell me which). If it's good, I'll post it here for all to see.
I'll get the ball rolling with a TRUE LASER tale of my own. |

Submitted by the
Webmaster: This story is TRUE
On the night of September 11,
2010, at about 10PM, I had just come in from walking the dogs (I have
two), and sat down to have a cup of coffee and relax when the phone
rings. I answer, and it is someone who was cruising my Web site (this
one) and (I guess) decided to see whether or not my statement "....we
DO answer the phone on weekends, and after business hours." on our
Contact Us page was true, or was I just
blowin' smoke....
click the link for a good laugh.
Surprised that I answered, he asked me if I had a 1,000mw Blue LASER in
stock. I jokingly told him that presently, I have mine, and I'm not
parting with it. He saw that I had a 718 area code, and thought I was in
Brooklyn or Queens – but 718 673 3075 is a
Magic Jack number, and I could
have been
in Bahrain, and he'd never know. In any event, he wanted to come here
(we were formerly located in Jersey City, NJ) for a demonstration before he bought it.
At 10PM, after all day working, it amazed me that this 59 year-old brain
could still "think on its feet" so-to-speak. I said to him, "Go look out
your window – a window facing the city". He asked me why. I told him not
to ask any questions, just take his (presumably) cordless or cellular
phone and go look out the window. Reluctantly he went, and said to me,
"Now what?". I asked him if he could see the two white beams of light
from the Ground Zero site (every year since 9-11, two massive
100,000-Watt arc lights are pointed skyward to mark the place where the
towers stood). He said he could see the shafts of light. "OK", I said,
"Watch THIS". I opened the window and stuck out my Cobalt 1500
prototype and pointed the LASER right where
the Klieg light beams were pointed, and he saw the LASER beam and the
spot where it hit low-ceiling clouds clearly FROM BROOKLYN –
some 24 miles away from my (former) place in Jersey City, NJ. Needless to say, he clicked the link and I made a sale.
