Operating time for Cobalt 2000 can be dramatically extended by adding batteries to the stack. 2. Smartswitch® is a 'safety interlock' which requires that the operator push the tail cap button then push the Smartswitch® button 3 short, 2 long, there is an emission delay, and comes on in low power pulse mode. No Pressure switch is available, extensive modification to rail clamp, excess weight and size make this LASER is impractical for weapons mounting. 3. EMS China is slow and unreliable - passes through US Customs where majority of LASERS are confiscated (see import ban) |

| Hi Ian,
I received the laser this morning and it is truly a work of art!
Thank you for sending the Cobalt 1000. I look forward to, and can't imagine how powerful the Cobalt 2000 will be.
Thanks & looking forward to the Cobalt 2000!
Best Regards, Anthony
| Hello my name is Tone, my older brother is Toni. The MP’S came and picked my brother this morning; he only had 45 mins to get his things together, so he asked me to write you this email. He wanted me to let you know the lasers you sent him passed his field test before he had to leave to {deployment classified}. We went out to the family farm and had both the Cobalt 1000 and 2000 mounted on everything from a 9mm mac10 submachine gun to a Savage Arms 110 BA .338 Lapua, we kicked out about 1000 rounds on the Savage Arms 110 BA, and your lasers performed great. My brother was very pleased with the Cobalt 2000 because of the pressure switch and the thickness of the beam. He also loved the cobalt 1000 but wished it had a pressure switch. My older brother is very hard to impress. Being in the army for over 17 years he has see a lot and done even more for this country. My older brother spoke very highly of a man named Ian and a man named Dave, I only hope I am sending this email to the right person, what he wanted me to ask the AWESOME LASER crew if someone one could sent a link to this email so I could buy the new host for the cobalt 1000, so when he comes back from {deployment classified} he can take both lasers to Baghdad. He took the cobalt 2000 with him to be mounted on Barrett MRAD in .338 and he took the Cobalt 1000 to carry on his flak jacket, both my brother and I understand how to remove the pill from the
old Solarforce host to be replaced into the new Solarforce host. If I sent this email to the wrong person I am sorry. If I did get this to the right person please help, there is no hurry my older brother won’t be coming back home for 8 to 10 weeks, then he will be home for 3 weeks for R&R then back to Baghdad. Please send a link so I can buy the new host with the pressure switch so I can have it ready for him when he comes home, I don’t want to let down my older brother him and my oldest brother Tony are my heroes. They do so much for this country and have given almost half of their lives to Army and Marines. Tone

Hello Ian
this is Toni. I just wanted to let you know your lasers are
performing outstanding; they're both very well made and waterproof.
It rains every day here for a few hours at least. The cobalt 1000
has saved me a lot of problems with the local wild monkeys - they're
everywhere and were not aloud to shoot the little {boogers} The
cobalt 2000 is mind blowing; it is a true "reach out and touch
someone" weapon. If I could change one thing about your lasers, it
would be having a remote switch on the cobalt 1000. Other than that
they're perfect; the battery life is great and if they can withstand
the beating I am putting them through, they will stand the test of
time. I will be in the States for two days on the 28-29th of March
for a Soldier Equipment & Technology Expo at Fort Hood, Texas. I
have a pocket full of your business cards so I will make sure some
get into the right hands. If you can please send a link to this
email so my little brother can buy the new host and remote switch
for the cobalt 1000 this way he can send it to me here and I would
love to have both laser weapons mounted ASAP. We don’t have any
phone service yet only email so I emailed you guys first. I wanted
you to know how your lasers are doing. I am going to write a email
to my family and let my brother know to be looking for a email from
you about the new host
Thanks Ian for the lasers they're perfect.
Thanks again
Toni

WARNING – IT IS A FEDERAL OFFENSE TO POINT A LASER AT AIRCRAFT, OR AT TRAFFIC. NEVER POINT THESE LASERS AT ANYONE AS IT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS AND IRREVERSIBLE EYE DAMAGE. KEEP THESE LASERS OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. DO NOT USE THESE DEVICES TO TEASE PETS. DO NOT AIM A LASER DIRECTLY INTO THE LENS OF A DIGITAL CAMERA – DAMAGE TO THE CCD WILL MOST LIKELY RESULT. DO NOT LET IDIOTS HANDLE THESE DEVICES. AT CLOSE RANGE, THESE LASERS WILL PUNCH AN INCREDIBLY TINY HOLE IN A PLASTIC SPOON IN APPROXIMATELY 10 SECONDS (see photos and videos above). PLASTIC SPOONS ARE HARDER AND MORE DURABLE THAN THE RETINAS IN YOUR EYES. AVOID USING THESE INSTRUMENTS INDOORS OR IN CLOSE QUARTERS – AND NEVER USE IN A ROOM WITH MIRRORS, BECAUSE REFLECTED BEAMS (LIKE RICOCHETING BULLETS) CAN ALSO CAUSE EYE INJURY. REMOVE THE BATTERY BEFORE STORING THESE UNITS OR CARRYING THEM IN YOUR POCKET, AS INADVERTENT ACTIVATION MAY SET CLOTHING / BAGGAGE ON FIRE. THE SELLER ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEATH, INJURY OR LOSS OF PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR MISUSE OF THESE INSTRUMENTS. PURCHASE OF THESE PRODUCTS IS CONFIRMATION THAT YOU HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THESE FACTS. A WARNING FLYER WILL BE PACKED WITH YOUR SHIPMENT, AND YOU WILL RECEIVE THIS WARNING IN YOUR EMAILED PURCHASE CONFIRMATION. | Two characteristics of LASER light contribute to the hazard of handheld LASERS: LASER light is emitted in a tight beam that does not grow significantly in size at a distance from the aperture. This means that practically the same degree of hazard can be present both close to and at a distance from the LASER.
The eye can focus a LASER beam to a very small, intense spot on the retina which can result in a permanent burn or "blind spot".
